Our commitment to your privacy

At IVEplay, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the IVE browser extension, the IVE desktop companion app, and our web services at iveplay.io.

IVE runs locally on your device: the browser extension detects videos and the companion app stores your library and controls your devices. The IVE Hub at iveplay.io lets you browse the script catalog, and you can optionally sign in with Patreon to unlock supporter features.

We do not run an account database. Your library, scripts, and device keys stay on your computer, and when you sign in, your session lives in a cookie in your browser — not on our servers.

What we never do

Across the extension, the companion app, and the Hub:

• No tracking: We do not track your browsing history or video viewing habits
• No analytics: We do not use analytics tools to monitor your usage
• No activity logging: We do not log your interactions with videos or scripts
• No data selling: We will never sell or share your information with third parties

Browser extension (local only)

The IVE browser extension operates entirely in your browser. It detects video players, lets you float and control videos, and forwards playback state to the companion app over a local connection on your own machine. It stores locally:

• User preferences: Settings like heatmap display and player options are stored on your device
• Companion connection state: Whether and how to reach the companion app running on your computer

When you load a script, the file is fetched directly from the site hosting it — the request goes from your device to that site, never through our servers.

The extension does not collect or transmit your personal data. You can use it without ever signing in.

Desktop companion app (local only)

The IVE companion is a desktop app that stores your library and talks to your haptic devices. Everything it manages lives on your computer:

• Your library: Entries, video metadata (title, duration, thumbnail), and script files are stored locally
• Device connection keys: Keys and tokens for devices like The Handy or Autoblow are saved locally for convenience
• Settings: Your device and playback preferences

The companion communicates with the browser extension over a local-only connection (127.0.0.1) that is not reachable from the internet. Its only routine network requests are:

• Update checks: The app periodically checks iveplay.io for new versions. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and the app version to our hosting provider — nothing else is sent.
• Script downloads and device APIs: Requests you initiate, sent directly to the script host or device service (see below)

IVE Hub and signing in

The Hub at iveplay.io lets you browse the script catalog. The catalog is public, static data served from our CDN (cdn.iveplay.io) — loading it requires no account, and our hosting provider only sees standard web request logs.

To unlock supporter features, you sign in with your Patreon account (OAuth). Patreon provides us with:

• Patreon ID: Used to identify your session
• Email address: Used for account identification
• Supporter tier: Used to determine which features you can access

This data is kept only inside a signed session cookie in your browser. We do not run our own account database, we do not store passwords, and we hold no copy of your data on our servers.

Your supporter tier is re-verified against Patreon periodically while you stay signed in. Please review Patreon's privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

Signing out and revoking access

Because we store nothing about you server-side, leaving is simple:

• Sign out: Deletes your session cookie — the only place your Patreon ID, email, and tier were held
• Revoke access: You can additionally revoke IVEplay's access in your Patreon account settings under connected apps
• Local data: Uninstalling the extension and companion app removes all locally stored data from your device

Device connections and third-party APIs

When you connect haptic devices through the companion app:

• The Handy: Your connection key is stored locally in the companion. Video titles may be visible to The Handy's API during script playback due to how their service functions. Please review The Handy's privacy policy for details.
• Autoblow: Your device token is stored locally in the companion. Video titles may be visible to Autoblow's API during script playback due to how their service functions. Please review Autoblow's privacy policy for details.
• Bluetooth devices (Buttplug.io): The companion controls Bluetooth devices directly from your computer. No data leaves your device.
• Script sources (IVDB, EroScripts, FapTap): The catalog links to scripts hosted by these services. When you download a script, your device connects to them directly, so they see your IP address like any website you visit. Please review each service's privacy policy.

Browser extension permissions

IVE requires certain browser permissions to function:

• "Access your data for all websites": Needed to detect video players and synchronize with them. You can restrict this permission to specific sites only through your browser's extension settings if you prefer.
• Storage: Used to save your preferences on your device.

These permissions are used exclusively for core features. We do not use them to collect data about your browsing.

Cookies and web storage

The IVEplay website (iveplay.io) uses:

• Essential cookies: Required for basic site functionality (age verification, session management)
• Authentication cookies: If you sign in with Patreon, we set a signed session cookie to keep you logged in

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Data security

Your data is protected by your browser's and operating system's built-in security features, and your session cookie is cryptographically signed. We recommend:

• Using a dedicated browser profile for adult content to keep your data separate and private
• Keeping your browser, the extension, and the companion app updated
• Using strong passwords for your device
• Being cautious when using IVE on shared computers

Your rights

IVEplay is operated from within the EEA and we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The only personal data we process is the content of your session cookie (Patreon ID, email, supporter tier), which exists solely in your own browser. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of our contract with you (the Terms of Service).

You have the right to:

• Access your data — everything we process is visible in your account view while signed in
• Delete your data — signing out removes your session, and revoking access in Patreon cuts the connection entirely
• Withdraw consent at any time by signing out and revoking IVEplay's access in Patreon

IVE is intended for adults 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
